The British National Road Championships are an annual event usually held in the run up to and over the last weekend of June, with the Time Trial taking place mid-week and the road race at the weekend. They have taken place in this format since 1996. The winner of each discipline wins the privilege to ride in the red, white and blue British Champions jersey until the next championships.
UK National Hill Climb Championships are a quintessentially British time trial event. The season is short and held in the autumn after the majority of the road race season has concluded. Each year a different hill is chosen for the competition which sees competitors simply ride up the steep course as fast as they can.
